Boot Up Your Computer
- Plug the power cord of the computer.
- Locate the power button of the computer, the button is usually seen on the front panel of the desktop computer.
- Power on your computer, after pressing the power on button of the computer it will start the power-on self-test, which is a specific routine initiated immediately
after power on. It is designed to ensure that all the internal hardware in
the computer is fully operational and capable of continuing the boot-up
sequence. This part of the boot process tells your computer
what it should do.
E.G, boot windows. Hardware drivers are loaded, allowing the operating system to interact with and utilize the hardware components inside the computer case.
- Wait for the operating system to load. Depending on the speed of
your computer, the operating system could take a while to load.
- Log in to your operating system. If you have a password on your
computer, you would now be prompted to enter it, otherwise, your computer
will boot into its desktop.
